What you’ll need to compete

The interesting aspect about two gun action challenge matches is that you will put your gear to the test. You will be running, crawling, kneeling, jumping and doing things that may even look silly. You will figure out what works and what doesn’t. Remember, everything looks cool till you try to reload from the prone position!

What you’ll basically need:

– Zeroed Rifle (PCCs are Allowed too but you might have a slight disadvantage) and Handgun
– Sling for the rifle. Make sure it’s secure and doesn’t dislodge from the rifle.
– Retention holster for the Pistol (No Serpas Holster, No competition-only holsters, No cross-draw holsters, or shoulder holsters). Please ask ahead if you are unsure. We cannot stress how important Firearm retention is. Dropping/losing control of a loaded firearm is a disqualification and dropping/losing control of an unloaded firearm is a time penalty.
-Proper Eye and Ear protection
-Chamber flag or Empty Chamber indicator
-Extra magazines for each firearm
-Magazine pouches or pockets to carry
-150 rounds of rifle ammo and 75 round of pistol ammo
-Climate appropriate clothes that can take some abuse and get dirty
-Water or electrolyte drinks. Dehydration is bad for you.

Optional:
Gloves
Knee and Elbow pads
Snacks
