DSRPC Voting update

I have chosen to resign from the Election committee because I felt that the elections are not being held in accordance with the bylaws set by the DSRPC and it’s members. – Mark DeBonis

This was my statement at the April 28th match.

I wanted to take a moment to share my thoughts on the candidates. I believe Joe Emery and Scott Mefford embodies what this range needs and their proposed policies align with what we do here at Las Vegas 2 Gun Action Challenge. However, I also recognize that each of us has our own unique perspectives and priorities when it comes to selecting a candidate. Full disclosure, I am on the election committee and regardless of my opinion on the candidates, I will promise ALL the candidates and the members, a fair and even election.

I encourage everyone to take the time to research the candidates, consider their platforms, and reflect on what matters most to you and how you want your range to be. I suggest you talk to them to see what their views are and how they are vastly different than they appear or have been told to you. Go to the source and you might be surprised. Ultimately, the decision of who to vote for is deeply personal, and it’s essential that we approach it with an open mind and a sense of civic responsibility.

Regardless of our individual choices, let’s remember to engage in respectful and constructive dialogue with one another. Democracy thrives when we listen to diverse viewpoints and work together towards a better range for us all.

Thanks for taking the time to consider my perspective, and I look forward to continuing the conversation with all of you.
